Season 2 : Back to 1

Let’s Talk: Why I Started Season 2 of the Ian Gaines Podcast

Three years ago, I recorded the very first episode of my Let’s Talk podcast. There was no strategy behind it. No sponsorships. No audience goals. No monetization plan.

It was just me, a microphone, and a need to speak my truth.

Recently, I checked in on that early episode, and noticed it quietly crossed 100 streams on Spotify without any promotion for over two years. No reminders. No social posts. No ads. Just a raw, honest voice continuing to find its way to people.

That moment stopped me in my tracks.

It wasn’t about the number.

It was about the signal.

Why I Created the Let’s Talk Podcast

When I started Let’s Talk, I wasn’t “Ian Gaines the professional sportbike freestyle athlete.” I wasn’t the face of brands. I wasn’t focused on content calendars or social reach. I was just a man trying to work through life, discipline, perspective, and purpose.

The podcast was therapy in its purest form.

I spoke on:

Mindset and self-discipline

Overcoming doubt

Life perspective

Accountability and growth

Mental toughness

Identity and ego

It was raw. Unfiltered. Real.

And life, as life does, got louder.

Between family, motorcycles, business, training, touring, demos, content creation, and building The Gainester brand, that quiet voice faded into the background.

But it never left.

Why Season 2 , And Why Now?

Seeing that episode still being found told me something important:

The message still matters.

The voice still carries.

And someone out there still needs to hear it.

That simple realization is what reignited Season 2.

Season 2 isn’t about chasing views. It isn’t about algorithms. It isn’t about production quality, thumbnails, or monetization.

It’s about alignment.
